Quick question regarding dates around joining a work pension scheme and actual payments into the scheme.
I received correspondence upon starting my role that I was "included in the Master Trust plan" with a date of joining the plan of May 23. I did not/was not allowed to pay into the scheme before my probation period ended.
My probation period ended in September 23 and I was informed that I "have been included for pension contributions" whereby my employer matched my contributions, and have been contributing since this time.
I presume that the time gap between joining the plan and myself and my employer paying into the plan is not relevant when it comes to determining whether I've been in the scheme for 2 years, and that the 2 year clock starts from May 23?
