I have a pension with Aviva that was set up 20 years ago with Canada Life. The adviser who sold the pension has retired and new adviser advised to move the fund on to Aviva several years ago. Do I need this adviser?, can I not just deal with Aviva? I am asking the adviser how much he charges me for doing almost nothing for me, what is reasonable? Aviva have deducted about €120 for 'policy fees and charges', are there other charges hidden in the figures I receive with my annual policy update?
