penalty points

hi,

my other half has been stopped today for speeding,the guard asked her the usual questions and told her to produce her license and insurance to the local station.when these docs are produced,is it then that they issue the fine or does anyone know the procedure when stopped for speeding,

Well, if she didn't prove she had a license and insurance/tax - that could have meant more points. It usually takes a month for your letter to arrive.. unfortunately I know!!!

of course she has all of these,unfortunately,her license has been sent away to be renewed,there was a current tax and insurance disk in the window.is it not policy for the guards to ask you to produce your documents at the station,
