Pebble Dashing - Rough Price??

Hi,

I am thinking about getting the front and the side of my house pebble dashed.

The house is a standard 3 bed semi-detached in Dublin built in the late 1990's. The front has a small tiled roof above the bay window so its not even a full wall, the side has a small landing window other than that it is a full wall. I will be getting an extension out the back eventually so dont need it pebble dashed.

I was wondering (very roughly) how much would this cost, am I talking 2-3k or? Does anyone have a recommendation of a pebble dasher (not somethine you would put on your business card!)

Many thanks and a Happy 2009!!!

Hi,

Welcome to AAM and Happy New Year :)

There's a recommendation in previous thread. I had heard that the guy is good but very hard to get because he is so busy. Perhaps with the downturn in business you might stand a better chance of getting him.

If you run the search option in this forum only you may find some other threads also.

Branners - I am looking for someone to dash my house as well. Will let you know if I find anyone.

Wet or Dry Dash?

I'm glad you asked that question Computerman. I am trying to arrange for the pebble dash on the back of my house to be renewed and I do not know whether to try and have the old type of dash put on or have dry dash. The man I contacted said that the old type of pebble dash is not used any more and dry dash is now what is used. Do you know is this true? I am sure I have seen houses being done last year here in Dublin and it was the old-fashioned pebble dashing that was used. Would appreciate advice on this.
