We buy Willow Warmers in Dunnes at €6 with the voucher and also Flamers at €4
We generally buy 6 at a go and store them in the garage on the ground
But that changed first week in December when our boiler sprung a leak and holy god the mess when those WW get wet
So if you're buying in bulk make sure your store them in a dry place and off the ground
 
Peemac did you get your order yet ?

When I ordered, the delivery date given was 21st Feb, a few days before I got an email saying due to unforeseen shipping delays, several containers including the one containing my order had been delayed. My delivery was now on the 09th March.

I contacted Rathwood online asking if delivery could be sooner.
Rathwood replied saying no, it was a pre order that they were awaiting delivery of, they would issue a refund if the new date did not suit.
I replied saying it was a preorder for delivery in 3 weeks not 6. I did not want a refund and would wait but I was very unhappy that my fuel order was going to be delayed by 3 weeks at this cold time of year.
Rathwood replied saying as compensation for the delay they would issue a €45 refund which has now arrived in my account.
I had also asked, as my order is grown and manufactured in Ireland, how is it affected by a shipping delay when it does not have to travel anywhere by boat ? They did not answer this query.

I have got deliveries off Rathwood previously without issues but not fuel. Looking online they get some very bad reviews relating to fuel deliveries.
 
Haven't been able to get any Willow Warmers in Dunnes for the last week
But thankfully Lidl is doing a special price at the moment €5.49
 
Anyone see any of the old fashioned Peat Briquettes for sale around the southside of Dublin ? still prefer them to the Willow Warm logs

Yes, I knew the production had stopped but thought there were alot that had been manufactured and still unsold. Got them in a service station in Stillorgan last April.

It was pushed out to next week, so we'll see.

I think the email saying "waiting for a container" was just automated and hadn't been changed to relate to the willow warm - lazy, but easily done.

Edit - Online is showing it is due for delivery in September!! So I'll request a refund.

A delay of a couple of weeks is acceptable, but 7 months is not

I looked on line and my delivery had also been rescheduled for September. I phoned and was told that was a system error and delivery went to next week, then to next month, then back to September again.

I have asked for refund, they say 5 / 10 working days, fair enough.

Never again.
 
Had a similar experience, ordered the 30 bags of logs for the princely sum of 133 euros for late March back in Jan. It's now gone from 16th March to 29th March to 21st April. I wouldn't be surprised if it ends up going later to the summer. There's a whole load of similar horror stories on boards.ie about Rathwood fuel.

FWIW I made a small order from another supplier, who I won't name, and advertising 2-4 days delivery, I got a text message 6 days later asking if they could deliver the next day (Thursday), when I said could they come on the following day they said they could ONLY come on that Thursday or the Friday of the following week and no other day.
I paid 30 euro delivery to these people. My first and last order from these clowns. Logs were nice and dry but bigger than advertised.
