Have a Dell dimension 8400 and was having trouble with sound playback through music software - a hardware check revealed that this driver was missing which could well be the problem. PC was reformatted a few months back and from googling, this issue seems to be a common consequence.
So - where do I get the driver that is needed? I looked at the driver support section on the Dell site but I don't see anything relevant - maybe it is also referred to as something else.
