Paying PRSI on form 11

Our family lived in UK for a few years which meant my wife was a non resident landlord but we moved back to Ireland last year. We filed and paid Form 11s each year while abroad for Irish rental income and owing to her non residency we ticked the box so that she did not pay PRSI in those particular tax years.

However we realise now that she could have done so as it would give her stamps for her state pension and also contributions paid in those years which would make her eligible for certain social welfare benefits now that we are back in Ireland (eg. parents leave payments).

If we wanted to now pay PRSI for those years could we do so by amending her tax returns? I have read on other threads PRSI for non resident landlords is Class S and only about €500 per annum. Or should we pay just deal with DSP directly?
