Paying Property Related Tax in Hungary

Hello,

I need to initiate a dialogue with Hungarian tax authorities in relation to paying capital gains tax on a property related transaction. Can anybody provide me with appropriate contact details for the revenue body responsible for this in Hungary?

I think it's best though to speak to a Hungarian accountant to discuss everything. I've heard good reports about the guy that this management company uses:

I use Tower, and would recommend them for sure. Its probably the same accountant, I'd have to check. He also flies annual tax returns etc.

Seeing as you have CGT issues, you obviously successfully sold a property there. Can you let me know who you used as I have been having a nightmare trying to get someone to sell my apartment for me. Been dealing with two different firms, one Irish and one Hungarian, same result of no contact, no valuation estimate, nothing

Hi amgd28,

Without going into any great detail, I didn't actually sell the property. There were delays with the construction of the apartment which allowed me to invoke a penalty clause in the contract; this penalty clause resulted in the profit to which I refer.
