paying off bad debth with cu

hi i have been paying every month without fail to pay off a loan which has had its interest frozen so what i pay goes off the principal.

my question is that because i have a bad debth loan in another county will it effect my wife from opening an acoount in the county we now live in which is not the same where i have the bad loan and yes i get all correspondence to my present adress.
