Hi,
I have recently registered to ROS PAYE online as i felt the ammount of PAYE tax i am paying seemed quite high compared to some of my friends. Currently I'm on a gross weekly salary of €680.59 and am taxed €123.37 in PAYE. (Also- I'm 25 and Single)
As this will most likely be increased in tomorrows budget i have started looking into this further and noticed on my profile in the ROS Tax Credits and incomes section the following information:
2005: Total Gross Relief Due €2947 (Flat Rate Expenses 97, PAYE Tax Credit 1270, Personal Tax Credit 1580)
2006: Total Gross Relief Due €3205 (Flat Rate Expenses 85, PAYE Tax Credit 1490, Personal Tax Credit 1630)
2007: Total Gross Relief Due €1760 (Personal Tax Credit 1760)
2008: No Active Employments within the requested year- Although i did work 2.5 days a week up to June while back in college and 5 days from then on.
I have tried to request a P21 but it tells me to contact their help desk, when i ring that they say to have your Tax Registration number or your tax agents number ready.
So could someone answer any of the following please:
1) Where to get my tax registration number
2) Should i get all the reliefs they have stated back to me
3) How come they don't have my employment details for 2008
4) Does my PAYE seem high and if so how do i go about correcting that
Apologies for the long e-mail, any info would be helpful.
