I submitted my Form 11 in paper form about a month ago and received my PAYE Balancing statement this week.

Just a question if I may about the following.

On panel 7b there is an amount of €49.66 that has increased my tax for the year by this amount. It says U/P collected. What is U/P and where would this amount come from?

Thanks

What is U/P?
I already told you.
Under payment.
Is it underpayment or something to do with USC?
Well, you already said that it was tax:

Nobody is going to be able to comment in any more detail than that without seeing the details/figures and that's not info that most people would want to post in public.

Why don't you ask Revenue for clarification?

What I don't understand is that I had an underpayment of €61 for the year 2022, according to the statement, but a note saying that this would be collected over the next 4 years at circa €15 a year. So I don't know where this €49 figure is coming from and why it is being included in the current statement for 2022 if my underpayment of €61 is going to be collected over the next 4 years.

Last year I was refunded €250 because I over paid my tax in 2021, so it has nothing to do with year 2021.

In my experience these underpayments and collections are entered manually by a Revenue agent and they can sometimes get them wrong. I have used the My Enquiries to get them corrected. Do a manual recalc of what you should have paid and compare to what you did and you should see it. My issues arose when I changed jobs and tax credits weren't reassigned correctly, not sure if that is the case for you or if it was an underpayment by your employer which needs to be settled by you.

I had a similar issue with my 2022 balacing statement. It related to an Under Payment in 2020 which was later corrected with a revised 2020 balancing statement but revenue had not removed the U/P from my 2022 tax credit cert. Rectified via My Enquiries.
