Password protect on USB key

Does anyone know if it is possible to password protect a USB storage key. Dont like the thought of losing my keys and have someone prying through all my stuff!!
 
On the one I use there is a very small switch with a lock symbol on the side that I can use to password protect but I guess it varies from model to model - what are you using?
 
I think we have the same if this is it?



Unless you have the same model without a switch?
 
If, as some so, your USB flash drive does not have its own special password protection suport, an alternative approach might be to format the USB flash drive with NTFS instead of the normal FAT and then use an NTFS encrypted filesystem. See here.
