hi all,
with kids in house etc I want to restrict internet totally.
so how would I have a situation that internet explorer is password protected.
idealy I would like to have it per user.

If you disable IE then maybe they'll just install Firefox or Opera or something else? And don't forget that they might just use Instant Messaging or other communication clients that might be hassle to block. What about using a parental control filter solution instead? Here a are a couple of free ones that I have seen recommended:

It's not quite free, at $29.95, but I use this, and it's very easy to set it up to block certain programs entirely (IE, Firefox, Messenger, whatever) as well as to limit each user's time on a daily or weekly basis.
