Passport Expiry Date Travelling to Spain

I am bringing my 3 year old daughter to Madrid on 10th June for 2 nights. Her passport expires 22nd August 2009.

Does the passport have to be valid for 6 months after date of travel or will we be fine?

I would double check that. I thought it had to have a minimum of 6 months left.
 
It only needs to have a minimum of 6 months if you are travelling outside the E.U

you can return on the 22nd August if you wish and you will have no problems at all.
 
Hi. The same happened to me. Booked and discovered pp expires a week after we come back. i phoned the spanish embassy in ireland and they said it was alright as long as it was in date on the day of return.HTH.
 
Just to be on the safe side,call the p.p office.have heard 6 months min.Its just a phone call away.better safe than sorry.
