partial power failure

An hour ago light bulb flickered, thought it would blow. Then it came back. At the same time the boiler pump and modem lights went out. Both came back in 10 mins.

I had lights in the kitchen all the time.

When a switch is tripped it has to be manually reset, doesn't it? I did not reset it just came back. Any ideas?
 


If it trips it has to be manually reset but your saying it 'reset itself' if so the only way i could see that happening, and this is a guess, is that perhaps it only partially tripped out and flicked back again.

Anyway I wouldn't worry too much unless this happens again.

I was assuming that. I did not put it very well. What I meant was they came back on again and I do not really know how or why
 
Did the lights in the ktichen dim at all? Sounds like a 'brown out'.
