Can someone explain to me who is meant to pay me for Bank Holidays. I claim SWA for myself and the wife, I got a part time job for 3 days a week, however that has now been cut to just one a week. When a bank holiday comes around SW deduct a full days dole but my employer says he only has to pay me 1/5 of my weekly wage - fair enough, but 1/5 of my weekly wage in only €20 while i lose approw €50 off my dole. Seems unfair that everytime there is a Bank Holiday I get €30 less than a normal week even though I work the same day which is a Friday. Most people working look forward to the Bank Hols, but now I hate when there is one as I know that I'll get less money than normal. Is this correct,
