Parking in RCSI Stephen's Green

Hi There,

Just wondering if anyone has any experience with parking in the RCSI? Heading into Dublin City on Saturday night and staying in the Grafton Capitol Hotel. The website says parking is available in the Royal College Of Surgeons Carpark and pricing is as follows:

Overnight rate: €5.00 from 5pm until 11 am the following day
Hourly: €3.00 per hour

Am I correct in saying that if we arrive in the car park at 2pm on Saturday and leave at 1pm the following day, charges will be as follows:

2pm-5pm - €9
5pm-11am - €5
11am-1pm - €6
Total Charge - €20

Or is that special overnight rate only availble if you actually arrive there after 5pm??

Can't see there being any difference - only thing being you will probably need to make 3 trips and tickets to the carpark ie 2pm 5pm and 11am.

As far as I know, the special overnight rate can only be used if you arrive after 5pm and it is paid in advance (i.e. just after you park the car) and can't be paid at the end of your stay duration..

Do the hotel not cover the parking fees for you?

I'd agree that you'd probably have to make three trips in order to avail of the overnight discount.
