Parking in Cork

Hi there,

I am probably moving out of the city in the near future and I have a problem I didn't think about at the begining. Where I am going to park? anywhere near town would be convenient as I don't mind a bit of walking in the morning.

Can you take the park-and-ride? Or jump on a train at, say, Little Island and leave your car? Where are you moving to?

Moving to north Cork, near enough to Mallow, but I have heard parking spaces there are quite limited, and the service is not too good, only a train an hour....I come from another european country and the major of my city is proud to advertise our transportation system as the best in Europe. While there I didn't believe it, but now I don't live there anymore, yeap, it's pretty good. Also, I think that the monthly pass is quite expensive (last time I checked it was 108 a month)

I work close to Washington St, and the train is an option if i can find a parking space there....Anyone know how difficult it is to park in Mallow train station?
