Parking Fine for Parking in a South Dublin CC Space.

Hi All,

Went to my Local Centra/Post Office today to pay a parking fine for a colleauge, i parked on the Main Street in a marked out spot as put in by SDCC lately and paid my fee. When i came out to my disbelieve i had been fined for parking at a bus stop, there was no yellow lines or notice and it was the last parking spots marked out by the council in a row of about 30 in this series of spots. Am i right in thinking there is no way in hell they can enforce this. I have been fined by the CC for paking in a spot marked out by them as pay parking. I tracked the warden down only to be told tough luck.

Did you park in a bus stop?

Yes, but i didn't think anything of it as they had painted a parking place there.

Is the parking space only valid between certain hours?

Yes, there is a pay parking sign for between Monday to Friday 9am until 5pm on the Main Street. I recieved my fine at 12.43pm on yesterday having paid my euro .

You may never park at a bus stop ever. Regardless it is marked out or not?
