parental leave

Need advice. i requested parental leave last year while on maternity leave, they would not give me friday or monday so i choose thursday.
coming into the winter months friday would be must better for the kids and me!
do i have the right to request it again, was thinking of requesting friday for the winter months?
any thoughts?

I guess you can always try asking again but consider why Monday or Friday wasn't allowed previously and if there is any reason this might change. For example if other people take parental leave on Monday or Friday then you might be able to negotiate a swap for every second week but if Monday and Friday are really busy days when everyone is needed in the office you might not have any luck

thanks for your reply, i had friday with my first child and i said i would come in and swap my day when they needed me but after this maternity leave they wouldnt give me the friday , main reason if someone is on holiday( im the only one on parental leave) they couldnt no with out me!! i just thought that coming into the winter most people have used up holidays!
