Parental leave for 2 weeks

Hello, I hope i am posting in the right section.
My wife is expecting in 2 weeks and I am taking 2 weeks off work to help out. I am just wondering if i can claim any benifits while off ?
I am up to date on holiday pay and my employer has no problem giving me the time. I work in the catering industry.
