Parent (OAP)-friendly printer for mac

Hi all,

Can anyone recommend an easy to use printer that my parents could buy - they have a mac laptop. I'm not sure if all printers are compatible with both macs and PCs so don't know what to tell them? They just want it to print out stuff from the internet (flight confirmations etc.) and possibly would like a scanner inbuilt as well.

IME the HP C4480 all-in-1 is great; simple to use, cheap (less than €60) , reliable, compatible. Printer, computer-less photo-printer, scanner, copier and cost-effective. The down-side is that like most printers in this class, inks can be expensive, but if its only for irregular use, this should not be an issue
