Palm Treo

Re: Plam treo

I've had a Treo 650 for the last year and a half. Previous to that I had a standard Nokia phone and a Palm Vx PDA, so for me the Treo was perfect as it's the two devices in one.

It's a nice piece of kit, but it might be a bit hefty if you're used to a small phone (the newer ones are a tad smaller and lighter). The camera isn't great but the screen is fantastic. I use mine for all of the usual PDA functions - diary, contacts, to-do lists etc. as well as offline reading of websites (via AvantGo) and the odd game. I do some web-surfing on it at home, over bluetooth to my PC - I don't have a data plan so surfing over GPRS is prohibitively expensive. There are thousands of applications available from the net, many of which are free.

As ninsaga mentioned there are newer models out now, you can see the range here: [broken link removed]

I think Vodafone / O2 Ireland only officially support the 750 model, which runs Windows Mobile, but I much prefer the PalmOS on the 650/680
