What color would you suggest painting the current white IKEA wardrobes and walls so they are a good match in a man's bedroom,
be interested what others done and looks warm and cosy,
Headboard and carpet are mid grey color

Surely that depends on the colour of the walls and other items in the bedroom ?

What materials are the wardrobes made of and will you need specialist paint for the paint to adhere to the surface?

Its reasonably easy these days to paint IKEA stuff. Sand, Zinser Bin Primer & then a good quality eggshell finish (Colourtrend my favourite).

If you are going a dark colour - seems to be all the rage these days - mix a good dollop of your finish colour into the primer.

Do you have other painted woodwork in the room? In which case, paint them the same colour. If not paint them the same colour as the walls. If everything is white, some sort of matt green, teal, etc.

new bed has Grey headboard, so looking to paint walls and wardrobes that will blend in with that, carpet grey also

Some of the better paint shops will have colour consultants that can come up with some very good ideas.
