Painting existing bathroom tiles

Ive been reading up on how to paint over existing bathroom tiles. I want to paint just one strip of tiles going around the wall of the shower/bath.My question is once the paint is on how resilient is the paint to splashes from the shower everyday?Once the primer and gloss are on is that enough?

We used tile paint in the bathroom and they are ok after 8 months Just buy the special paint in any DIY shop and follow the instructions
