Painting Concrete Floors

Does anybody know if you need to use special paint when painting concrete floors? After painting do you need to seal it? If so with what? The floors will be in an office so there will be a fair amount of traffic.

Any help appreciated.

Special paint needed as far as I know, but it's been too many years since I last used it to tell you what it was. A visit to Woodies or B&Q could be useful.

I think this is more specialized than Woodies or B&Q

I'd have thought M.R.C.B. paints near Christchurch

Or Stillorgan Decor on the Lower Kilmacud Ed.

I don't doubt there are other places but they are the 2 I know of

You use a concrete floor sealer first, available from woodies, etc. After a coat of this you can then paint the floor with floor paint. Sealing stops the dust coming up from the concrete, floor paint gives it a finish thats a bit more pleasing on the eye.
