Painter in Dublin

Does anyone know a relaible and cheap painter in Dublin or has experience of using anyone and know the typical prices?

We got a quote from a nice man who would paint our bare walls (hall/stairs/landing/1 bedroom) plus ceilings for 1200 (paint extra). We were hoping to pay less and were hoping to get someone needing work in these difficult times?

Any thoughts?

Cartman - hubby is painter and that seems quite excessive. always beware of the "paint costs extra". You'd be better off getting an inclusive cost for labour and materials.

I have had a guy paint my house, and some friends of mine have used him too, very clean, reliable a good value. Liam Cleary, 087 2210436, based in North Dublin city. That quote does seem a bit high though

We have used these people for lots of work in our (small, self-managed) apartment block. They do all types of indoor and outdoor painting, as well as carpentry and repair work. Very reliable, give accurate quotations in advance.
