Painted Dining Chairs

I am considering getting painted chairs for our kitchen oak table. The chairs i have my eye on are 200pounds each which is way out of our budget as we need to buy 5. At the moment we have Mahogany chairs which are really comfortable. Can any one advise me on the possibilities of getting them dipped and spray painted by someone who would generally paint kitchens...would this be possible?

Just give them a bit of a sanding and then paint them using a Farrow and Ball colour.

I sanded down the top of my kitchen table and lightly sanded the legs and painted straight over them and they looked great. I have two other mahogany items that I intend to do shortly.

This is a lovely colour. [broken link removed]

They are genuine Mahogany. Which would you do...spray them yourself or use a brush? Would brush marks be seen?

I'd sell the entire dining room set - buy a cheap 2nd hand set, paint that & pocket the difference!
