Hi

I am looking for some Consumer Rights advice please.

I paid in full for a shower tray and shower enclosure by credit card at the beginning of July. Both items were reduced in a sale and the sale price was less than half of the original price.

I have made many phone calls, trips to the shop etc to enquire about the delivery, delivery was supposed to be 4-6 weeks.

Last week I was told that the shower tray and one part of the shower enclosure had been delivered to the store. The final part of the order (the front panel of the shower enclosure) had not arrived but was due shortly.

Today I have been told that the shower enclosure is no longer available and therefore I will not receive the front panel. The shop also told me that the display model has been sold and they can't provide the panel from that unit to me.

What are my rights with regard to getting the shop to provide another shower enclosure (I need it to be the same dimensions as the plumber has completed the first fix of my new build based on these dimensions)?

If this is possible and the cost of a replacement unit is greater then the price I paid do I have to Pay the difference?

Thank you

Ring credit card company and get a refund. It should be easier than dealing with the shop.

Moving forward after the referral to the credit card company, many shower units are modular - 760 x 760 mm, 900 x 900 mm, 1200 x 900 mm etc - so as long as yours is one of the standard sizes, the situation should resolve itself satisfactorily.
