Hi guys

I was onto Revenue about a problem yesterday and they said from looking at my account that my p60 for last year was never received so they have no record of my tax etc.! Slightly worrying as i'm guessing all my prsi contributions won't have been recorded and stuff :( Also i can't find my copy of my p60 from last year so I can't send that on. I've since changed employer as well which makes things even more complicated! Is there anyway my old employer could reissue me a copy of it, or is it too late for that?

Thanks a lot

If they had made a copy of it before they gave you the original, then there should be no reason why they should not make another copy from it. More worrying would be the possibility that your previous employer has not yet returned their P35 for 2005, and therefore there is no record in revenue or social welfare for you or any other employees who worked there in 2005.

Hi,

I actually had the same problem myself recently. I phoned up the dept of social welfare for dental benefits and i was told that they hadn't received any details of my income etc from 2005, this being the HSE which i would have thought would be very compliant. I rang the HSE and they wouldn't give me a P60 as i hadn't worked the last week in December 2005!

Instead they gave me a letter stating what my gross pay was & PRSI paid etc, so i entered these details and ROS PAYE service and everything seems to be fine now. Id say ring your last employer. Good luck.

That is correct. You only get a P60 from the employer(s) who employed you on the last day of the tax year. Otherwise you should get a P45 which will help when reconciling issues with the likes of Welfare and Revenue. Obviously payslips also help if it comes to it.
