Since last march i have been looking for my p60 form for 2007 from my boss and as of yet have not got it . i need it badly at the moment!can i go direct to the tax office and find out the details myself?
The employer should have filed their end of year returns for 2007 by mid-Feb 2008. Revenue should have the details. Revenue cannot give you a P60 only the employer, but they can issue a balancing statement (p21) which will show the income , tax, credits etc. It will not show any PRSI details though. Depending on what you need it for this may or may not be of use.
You can ring the P35 office in Nenagh and they will give you the details if your employer has filed his P35! If not did you keep you December 2007 payslip as you can use this. If you file your Tax Return online with the Revenue you have until 17th November and still have time to register. Alternatively theres a really good rental income tax return website that deals with this for you at a reasonable rate - [broken link removed]
