Confused! Tax issues are not my forte. Paid tuition fees in 2008 and sent off the form for Tax Relief before Christmas, ie in the same year that I paid the tuition fees. Recevied extra tax credits but was under the impression I would also receive a cheque. This has not happened. Should I have waited until 2009 to claim it back or if I send in a P21 form, will I receive a cheque. The fees relate to October 2008 till May 2010 so as I only was updated with the tax credits in December, I have received no real benefit. Can anyone help? Will be very annoyed if my efficiency at sending off the form means I only receive the tax credits and not the cheque???
