What does the P45 state on it, My sister is going to a new job and they want her p45 ,
Just wondering because she said she was on 55K in her last job but really on 51K, will this appear on the p45 as she ended up getting 61K, she wants to know is there any thing she can do to spot them knowing what she had earned so far for the year, can she get her old job to send it to her and she to the tax office, just tell her old job that she is taking a career break and needs p45 to sign on. she is afraid if something bad comes out of it, She starts new job in the new year

The P45 will state her gross earnings from 1st January (or her start date if later) to her leaving date. I believe that she can send in the P45 herself to revenue, bypassing the new employer. The new employer would then not know her previous earnings. There may be some implications because she ceased employment in 2006 but will not start her new employment until 2007. A quick phone call to revenue should help to get the situation explained.

Hi,

Can she not just ring the revenue stating her new employers registration number and they will then issue her with a new certificate of tax credits with her new employers details on it? Worked for me before.
