P21 Refund Question

Hi,

I have requested my P21 last week, my p21 has not come in the post however I have received a refund into my bank account for 60euros.

I was working all last year, while my wife worked at the start of the year, and was not working for say 11 months and was in receipt of job seekers benefit.

When I put our details into the taxcalu.eu it said we were due approx 1300euros back in refund.

Can anyone shed any light on this?

Did you include the benefit your wife received as taxable income? After the first 6 weeks or so, it becomes taxable

Thanks Berni good point, I can work out myself how much benefit she received, but how do I know how much tax she would have paid on her weekly Benefit?

Probably 20%, I think it would use up the rest of her standard rate band that doesn't transfer to you.
