I'm thinking of opening the above current account. Can anyone tell me using their online service, can you set up payees for EFT easily so you can transfer the cash immediately? With BOI you have to wait a few days for a PIN which is very annoying. Halifax had the ability to set one up and use it straight away, which is what i'm after.

I just logged into PTSB online banking.
Step one. You need to enter the sort code and account number
Step two, they will automatically send a code to your mobile phone.
I don't know if there's a step 3 but if that's it, it's pretty convenient.

With AIB I could enter an IBAN but it seems ptsb only let you transfer to other Irish accounts.
PTSB customer service number is 01 212 4101.
 
Sounds good, will give them a call on Monday to confirm. BOI "security" method was a pain in the you-know-where when you needed to TX cash ASAP.
