Hi there,

You have to pay a subscription fee but you get very fast access to items and I have a fast speed at home.

Only issue its German based and alot of downloads are non English.

Do any of you know anything similiar basedd in an English speaking country.

depends on what you want to download. wikis list is about as good as any other. description here and list here.
 
legally download music? eircom, itunes etc. www.allofmp3.com hasnt been proven to be illegal in this country so you could try there for a cheaper alternative.

You can get some legal mp3/movie/app downloads on newsgroups and other p2p software apps/sites but theyre mainly illegal.
