Oz/Kiwi nurses working in Ireland

Hi, just wondering if there are any nurses reading the forum. My sister is thinking about doing a nursing course in Melbourne. It is only 2 years, but is full-time (i.e no Summer breaks) and is for people who have degrees already. Does anyone know if nurses who graduated down-under can work in Ireland without any hassles ?

You have to register with An Bord Altranais, my wife who qualified in Canada did recently and it took a long time (I think her case was probably longer than is typical but they ain't the most efficient bunch).
