Has anyone any experience with ownyourownhome.ie?
You dont need to have a deposit. They contact developers of new homes that arent selling. Say for example the developer wants 250k for one house, this company negotiates with the developer and gets the house for 200k and then sells it to you for 225k. They claim they make their profit from the developer and you get a great deal.
They also say they give you a furniture allowance?
You need to give them various documents e.g. 6 months bank statements, 3 payslips etc and they then decide if you qualify and if so for how much.
I enquired as to whether you could buy a second hand home through their company and they said that if there is no new home that suits you they are fairly confident that they can do something for you.
It really does seem to good to be true. Does anyone have any experience with this? I would love to hear from anyone that has purchased a house through them.
I need to buy a house within the next couple of years but being a single mother with no savings i am trying to find cheaper ways. Affordable housing scheme doesnt suit as i want a house and not an apartment.
Any advice appreciated.
Thanks.
