Hey Guys,
I am currently on JSB and have been for the last four months.
About two month ago my previous employer recommended me for a job with one of their clients. I was skeptical but commenced "employment" with them without knowing the salary, contract details etc. After three days I finally got to meet with the MD who told me the salary etc. I was very disappointed with the offer, would hardly be worth my while given the 90 mile round trip daly and very short term nature of the contract so I didn't return after that.
A week or two later I received a call from the Payroll company who look after the wages for this company looking for my PPS no etc so they could pay me. I told them I never heard of that company so we left it at that. This week I received a cheque from them, I don't want it however I am assuming they have processed it through their payroll and cue the end of the year when Revenue see this and it is then up on the social welfare system.
What I want to do is tell the SW that it was just a one week contract and I would like to pay them back the JSB for that one week. Will they be ok with this or will there ears be up so to speak and starting contacting this company etc.
Before people start banging on about fraud etc I didn't expect to get paid for this work so I just put it down to bad experience.
Thanks for reading,
Murph
