I had a leak dection company from North County Dublin come to detect a leak in my kitchen. They said it would cost E250.00. The guy came to the house and said there was no leak. They promised they would give me a report but didn't. However, when the builder took up the tiles on the floor, the central heating pipes were leaking everywhere. I got the bill from these guys and it was for E497.00. They charged me for two hours of the leak detectors time at E85.00 per hour, plus the E295.00 call out charge. I don't want to pay the bill, but they are really hassling me. What do I do?

just imagine if u went into a shop and boght a cooker say and it did not work. You would go and get yor money back. In this instance you got no service so there is no fee. Take a pictue of the leak or get the bulder to do you a report.

Send it to the leak company and politely point out that you never got a service or a report and want compensation.
