I have an over-draft of €2,800 and two maxed-out credit cards (€5,000 on each card). I have gone over-limit on the cards and breached my over-draft several times. I am employed full-time.
I have tried to apply for a debt consolidation loan without any success.
I have a second property in France which is eating money (mortgage, taxes, maintenance fees). I am trying to sell it at 50% of the original purchase price but have had no interest so far. It is a leaseback property and banks don't want to give mortgages for leasebacks (as so many of the mgt co's went bankrupt). So we are looking for a cash buyer.
In the meantime, I have cut my shopping bills by 50%, stopped spending money on clothes etc, and I am cutting out the daily take-out coffee and once a week lunch out at work. But I am still finding it difficult to make ends meet.
Any advice greatly appreciated.
