How do I place an 'Out of Office' automatic reply on my e-mail address?

What feckin' use is an 'Out of Office' automatic response if your Outlook Express has to be on and logged on to the server??

What feckin' use is an 'Out of Office' automatic response if your Outlook Express has to be on and logged on to the server??

Maybe the mail server you or your ISP uses provides a server side option to do the same thing obviating the need for client configuration and connectivity?
