Out of date Slimline tonic

Over 75% of Slimline tonic in Irish pubs, hotels and resturants is out of date (and doesnt taste good) in my experience. What can be done to improve the situation?

Nah, add a breath of vermouth and an olive; call it a coctail (dry martini) and charge double! Everyone's happy! (Except the punter, but he doesn't (can't?) count!).

Complain each time you encounter this situation?

If the percentage you say is roughly accurate, complain not only to the premises but to their suppliers and to Vintners Assoc. (and the other one)
