Hi,

Just wondering what you thought of this.

Next door property are developing 8 townhouses. They had planning but submitted a further planning application to make some small amendments of no real concern.

The revised application contained drawings clearly detailing the nature of the changes requested and the 'previously approved development'
BUT they enlarged the size of one of the buildings which was previously approved without bringing it to the attention of the planners or stating it in the site notice. The increased size of this building was not the subject of the 2nd planning application. The building in questions has been enlarged by approx 2 metres.

The 2nd planning application was approved. I presume that the Planning Authority did not notice the building was a different size.

So now there is approval for the 2nd application which is based on drawings which show the larger building. But a building of this size was never actually approved. It is only contained in the 2nd application for the purposes of context and the Planning Authority did not spot the difference.

So do they have planning for the larger building or not?

DMK.
