order of traffic lights

im doing my driving test today and im confusing myself as to the order in which the traffic lights change. i knew myself but i forget now because i got 3 different orders off the internet not i forget my orriginal one.

no , that's the uk...


we use red - green & green - amber - red.......

It can also go red-amber-green if e.g. at a pedestrian crossing where the amber means "yield if pedestrians about to cross" before it goes back to green.

But, as you say, normal traffic lights go green-amber-red-green

In this country it goes from Green to Amber to Red and from Red straight through to Green unless its a pelican crossing.

Often wondered where the name Pelican crossing came from, now I know.

There should be no order

But it's a question they can and do ask in the test...
