Options on raising money if you don't have a mortgage

Hello,

I own my home without a mortgage, was a cash purchase last year. I want to do renovations etc and need to raise roughly 100k.

I was wondering what are the best options for getting a loan. I am self employed.

How much is the property worth? If the ratio to the 100K is good and you can prove your earnings it should not be very difficult. A broker might be best.

Hi, the property is worth in the region of 330k with two salaries combined of about 60k. Just wondering why you recommend using a broker, would they be able to find a better deal?
