Optional extra question

I recently purchased an Archos TV+.

Its a media centre for under the tv, can watch movies, surf web, play mp3s etc

Would people mind reading this and giving thoughts. To utilise some of the features you have to get an optional plugin from the archos website.

Would people read "optional plugin" to mean " cost more money"? I had read the pdf before purchasing and that wasnt clear to me, just wondering was it just me or would that term automatically mean that it would cost more.
Im not too peed off at the moment as Im thinking I should have done a bit more chasing up on it but it just didnt register with me that half the features of the product wouldnt be available without spending more money.

If they used the phrase Optional Extra I think it would have been clearer. I think that I would too, overlook the Optional Plugin thinking it came with the item, but was optional whether you had to use it or not.

Just to add the item was around 200 euro, there 5 optional extras available from archos totalling up to an additional 90e and these are tied to and encrypted to the specific box. (available for knockdown prices on ebay and elsewhere but not the point)

Ive found after a bit of doogling that all archos products have these optional extra costs. something to be aware of. after a couple of emails with archos theyve said its to cover the licence costs of the features, which is all fair ennough, but I just dont think theyve made it very clear on the sales bumph.
