hello all, was wondering if anyone had any perspectives on the Toyota Verso?

The other potential option is a C-max- which is a good bit cheaper but older. (2005 vs 2007)

Priorities are:
boot space
safety for the (two) kids
reliability

Don't need a super-handler

The Toyota Verso, in its niche, is one of the better and more reliable cars on the road.

The Verso is used extensively, in modified form, by Motability in the UK who modify them for use by disabled passengers / drivers. Their reasons for choosing it are ease of access, reliability and exceptional residuals - the cars are changed every two years I think.

IMO, the Verso is the better choice..

You notice high winds, it struggles up hills, and it rolls a bit cornering. It has a biiig turning circle. There's loads of room in it, the fabric seems to be genuinely wipe clean (chocolate and toffee), setting up the extra seats in the boot is easy, although they don't have full leg-room. It's comfortable on long drives, economical to run, the basic servicing is cheap and it's not any bigger than a normal car (in terms of parking).

It only has a 'get me home' tire.

This is for the 1.6 Terra.
