Weigh up the costs of cashing in early and compare them and the likely returns with the actual or potential returns elsewhere. If after allowing for inflation etc. the latter outweigh the former and are better than what you expect to earn by staying put then go for it. Otherwise you might want to sit tight. However few of the inputs into this analysis are easily or accurately identifiable!however I have to say that performance over the year has been very bad and was wondering if it was worth cashing in and going for something else OR can it be expected to improve over the next year or so (and I do realise that no one has a crystal ball - it's just opinions I am looking for)
