It's a 1,030 sq.ft. townhouse, so the kitchen/living isn't exactly huge. Just wondering what people's opinions are on having an undercounter fridge in the kitchen (and an undercounter freezer then in the adjoining utility beside washing machine)? Would you think it looks odd?

It;s either that or a full size fridge/freezer looking really awkward at the end of the kitchen beside the patio door, which leaves a really awkward looking 'gable' end to the units.

TIA

We have an under counter fridge in our kitchen for the last 10yrs and a free standing freezer in the utility beside the washing machine. No, it doesn't look odd at all.

agree with tosullivan, won't look odd. If you're considering an integrated fridge, there won't be as much space as a freestanding fridge.

What ever suits you go for it.
Makes perfect sense to have the fridge close to hand in the kitchen where as you will not need to open the freezer as often.

you will also benefit from extra counter space above the fridge. It is definitely the better option as long as you are happy to have the frozen peas next door.

It will be integrated — are these smaller than freestanding (presume you mean 'slot-in') units? I thought they were the same size.

Thanks for replies

Sometimes the internal volume of these units can be less than that of free standing units. Check the specs for the models you are interested in to be sure. the manufacturers web sites usually have this detail.
